Institutional relations

The Undersecretariat for Institutional Relations (SUINS) is the office of the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship that interacts with and is responsible for relations with the Argentine Congress, Provinces, Municipalities, and legislative bodies at the subnational level; Federal Government agencies; civil society organizations; universities and sports organizations.

The following are some of its main objectives:

  • To coordinate institutional relations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship and other entities within the Federal Government.
  • To coordinate institutional relations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship and the National Legislative Branch.
  • To coordinate policies and strategies with regard to the relations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship and entities and authorities at the subnational level.
  • To coordinate policies and strategies with regard to the relations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship and civil society organizations, fostering social participation in matters relating to foreign policy.
  • To take part, together with national election authorities, in the organization of processes for Argentine nationals to vote abroad.
